Repurposed Banana Republic Tee {Let's celebrate those boys!}

Happy Monday, friends, and welcome to another week! I'm popping in here quickly this morning to share a boy project with you (what? You sew for boys, too, Caila??) and share about the celebration happening in blog-land over the next two weeks. I'm sure many of you already know that Rae and Dana have teamed up again to bring us Celebrate the Boy! I am so excited about this, you guys! It's been almost two years and I was starting to go through boy-sewing withdrawals.

Sure, I can sew for my boys any ole' time, but it's so fun to do it with everybody else. Rae and Dana have even set up a Flickr group so we can inspire each other while they share boy-related posts over the next two weeks. Rumor has it that Dana will be sharing a t-shirt pattern when Celebrate the Boy kicks off today. You better believe I'll be making it right away! I'm kind of on a boy t-shirt kick right now.

In the meantime, let me tell you about Hudson's new raglan tee. First of all, I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It's (obviously) repurposed from an old Banana Republic tee that my husband used to wear. The original shirt was getting old, but the fabric was so comfy we just couldn't let it go. So I cut it up, paired it with some Robert Kaufman Laguna Stretch Cotton Knit in Taupe, and gave Hudson a new shirt.

So comfy, you guys. SOOO comfy.

If this looks familiar to you, you may be remembering a similar raglan I made for Stryder. Yes, I do plan on having them wear the shirts together one day! A little matchy-matchy never hurt anyone. 

Can you tell we are excited around here? He's so thrilled any time I make him something; I should do it more.
