Happy Monday, friends, and welcome to another week! I'm popping in here quickly this morning to share a boy project with you (what? You sew for boys, too, Caila??) and share about the celebration happening in blog-land over the next two weeks. I'm sure many of you already know that Rae and Dana have teamed up again to bring us Celebrate the Boy! I am so excited about this, you guys! It's been almost two years and I was starting to go through boy-sewing withdrawals.
Sure, I can sew for my boys any ole' time, but it's so fun to do it with everybody else. Rae and Dana have even set up a Flickr group so we can inspire each other while they share boy-related posts over the next two weeks. Rumor has it that Dana will be sharing a t-shirt pattern when Celebrate the Boy kicks off today. You better believe I'll be making it right away! I'm kind of on a boy t-shirt kick right now.
OK, head on over to Made by Rae and MADE later today to check out the kick off of Celebrate the Boy, and don't forget to join the Flickr group!

Love this! Super cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen! :)

Yay!!! Let's celebrate our wonderful boys!!! Did you end up figuring out the sizing alright? Was it big/small? I want to make this one soon! :)
ReplyDeleteThe fit for this pattern is always perfect; it's the Figgy's Banyan Tee that really had me scrambling! But I figured it out in the end. I included some details in my post on Hudson's Moon Rover Tee: http://www.mesewcrazy.com/2013/02/kids-caila-made.html. Basically, I had to add 3/4" to the side seams and 2" to the hem length to make it fit my boy. Either Hudson is big, or the pattern runs small. Either way, it worked out in the end! Hope this helps if you ever choose to sew the Banyan Tee!
DeleteThis turned out so adorable! And you have the cutest kids btw.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kind words and links about Celebrate the BOY! :)
