Announcing: Fall Pattern Review Series!

Hello, friends! I am a nervous bundle of excitement because I have an announcement for you: I am hosting my first blogging series. Yay!

Starting tomorrow I am kicking off an awesome week of pattern reviews by bloggers we all love. I've asked each of them to share a review of their favorite pattern for fall sewing. Of course, there will also be inspiring pictures of the clothing they've made, because why else do we all read sewing blogs?

So get ready for an awesome week! Before we get started, I know you're all wondering: Why this series?

Every time Fall rolls around I don't know what to do with myself. I'm great with spring and summer sewing. Those patterns are easy to find. We ALL have a favorite summer dress pattern and it probably only takes us a couple hours to sew. Fall is different, though. Fall involves scary fabrics like corduroy and wool, and linings and hoods and... this list goes on. For someone like me--who is admittedly kind of a novice at Fall sewing--I need someone to point me in the right direction. Fall sewing is scary enough; I don't want to try a pattern until I know it's awesome.

Know what I mean?

That's where this series comes in. This is our chance to get great reviews on Fall patterns from people who will give it to us straight.

But that's not all. I've also created a community pinboard on Pinterest called "Fall Sewing Inspiration." I'd like this to be a place where we can ALL pin our favorite Fall sewing patterns/tutorials/inspiration and create an awesome resource for Fall sewing. Are you in??
